THE COWBOY IS BACK…
The 43rd U.S. President, best known for one very essential and one completely unnecessary war, working tirelessly for Africa, getting a goodnight kiss with a size 11 shoe at the dusk of his career, and to a lesser extent as a guy who was hated by the Dixie-Chicks and other “intellectuals” worldwide, was back to meet “with an old pal,” on a pleasure trip in India.
He came to meet one Manmohan Singh, the Prime-Minister of India, who famously risked the fall of his own government to stand stoically in the support of his comrade through the thick and thin, despite the venomous jokes hurled at him, to go through with a historic Nuclear deal…something which took the Indo-U.S. relations to a different high and something which no other U.S. president EVER did before…
When asked about the Nuclear deal, George W quipped, “Yeah, it was a big deal, and to get it, we had to break a bit of China…” (The communist parties in India, at that point of time in the coalition withdrew support in retaliation…) His venture of a presidential library, at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas is his main interest now, other than writing a book. “Though most of America doesn’t believe that I can even read…” Bush said in his sarcastic best, amidst an uncertain laughter from the dignitaries present. “Mannu” was also reportedly in a rare chirpy self…
Here are the mainstream Indian media reports on the return of the retired…
1. Bush: India’s Great Friend – PM
2. When UNSC is expanded, India will be a part: Bush
3. Nuclear deal is India’s passport to the world
4. At lunch, Bush turns ladies’ man
Clearly…the most “misunderestimated” president ever…
