WORLD WATCH: Bloody Berlo!!!

Sumantra Maitra

* Okay, the breaking news of today! Silvio Berlusconi, Italian play (boy)-grandad, and the Prime Minister too at times, was attacked by a mentally challenged man, who was filled with vengeance for reasons unknown, and apparently tried to sculpt a statuette of Milan’s famous Basilica in Berlo’s 73 year old face. The far-right in Italy said this is an act of terrorism. Berlo who suffered a broken nose, two broken teeth, and a cut lip, is presently having a gala time with the nurses where he is hospitalized…
Official Press-release

Attack in pictures

Pravda is in doubt though…after their investigative journalism, which was convinced that this whole incident was badly photoshopped. Guess they don’t know about a thing called Mirror effect in a camera.

* Talking about Russia, here’s a couple of snippets.

War needed against communism? No, political campaign needed against communism.

Mitchell Blatt

Managing Director must respond to Sumantra’s post titled “A second cold war is needed against global communism…”.

Sumantra, the blogging editor here, is sounding like an American neo-con.

In the post, he basically argues like America needs take an interventionist approach around the world to get rid of communism worldwide. (As if the American military isn’t already exerting enough resources in the Middle East fighting terrorism…)

Sumantra notes that communism has strongholds on South America and is rising in India, that Communist China is on rise globally, and that anti-American sentiment is burning in Iran.

Well, of course there’s going to be some countries that adopt stupid economic policies, and in most of those in South America, the people, at least originally, voted for the stupid economic policies themselves, before the leader became a dictator.

(And Iran is a theocratic Islamic state, so that doesn’t really have anything to do with America. But, as America is the most powerful nation, people are going to hate her because of her power.)

But how does that affect America?

Chavez can give a speech at the UN calling George Bush the devil. Whoa, big problems there. We’ve got problems here in America in our White House with a president who is trying to pass a bill that caps the amount of energy America can use.

How can America fight a “second Cold War” when our own president is the leading cause of communism rising in the world?

A second cold war is needed against global communism…

Sumantra Maitra

A series of global events have pushed the world toward communism, without much notice. The violent anti G20 protests started of a chain of reactions against the so-called “elite and Western influenced countries” against globalization, free-market economy, and if I may add, capitalism in general. The North Korean and Venezuelan rhetorical machines followed. Maoists winning the Nepal elections, and increasing their presence in democratic countries like India, on one hand, and changing jerseys and pretending to be Democrats in countries of Latin America, on the other. Chinese influence on global economic markets is quickly on the rise. Not to forget the Russia-Georgia war, and the countless unsolved mysterious deaths of rights campaigners there.

Americans, and the so-called Western-influenced world, forgetful as they are, should a certain John Foster Dulles. U.S. Secretary of State, under President Eisenhower, and a veteran and uncompromising cold warrior, this man formulated the aggressive foreign policy of the United States during the 1950s, which went on to become the backbone of the global resistance against communist subversion of the World for almost half a century, until the fall of the Soviets and Eastern Europe.

However, after the fall of the Soviets, the communists understood that their policies were discarded by the majority of the world. They changed tactics. In the word of Lord Monckton, conservative peer of U.K. and author of the forward to Climate Caper, they turned to be “water melon communists, green on outside but red on inside.”

“At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference Continue reading

The 8th anniversary of the attack on the Indian parliament.

Sumantra Maitra

Today was the 8th anniversary of the attack on the Indian Parliament, which almost sparked a war between India and Pakistan. Lots of things happened, as usual. Media, as we know, loves anniversaries. So do politicians. (Apparently so does Bombs and Dollars.) But the question still remains: Are we safer? Is the security setup of our notoriously forgetful countrymen and it’s leaders improved? Most importantly…was justice done?

Leader pay tribute

For the uninitiated, here’s a brief case history…

Some commentaries on the Nobel War Prize…

Sumantra Maitra

Internet is on fire, and opened up the proverbial Pandora’s Box, regarding the issue of Obama and his Nobel peace medal…a few days after he announced troop surge in Afghanistan. (How bloody ironic!)

These are the various war horns:

* Michelle Malkin, your Managing Director’s Goddess, with her kind of journalism…which is quite true, if you ask me…
Happy Post-National Achievement Day!

* And the mother of ‘em all…Auntie Beeb, with a typically British analysis…
Obama Nobel speech seeks to project humility, BBC seeks to promote blandness

* A Fox News poll…which dumps Obama like anything…
Obama not ready for Nobel prize… shocking

* An important issue of a moral confusion…
Obama has moral confusion, which the National Review defines as disagreeing with their foreign policy ideas

* This is how Obama snubbed “His Oldness,” the King of Norway… Continue reading

One thing Tucker Carlson beats Brietbart at

Bombs and Dollars

Last May, Tucker Carlson announced the launching of his revolutionary website, The Daily Caller, branding it as a “conservative Huffington Post”.

Since then, while Tucker Carlson’s conservative Huffington Post has functioned mostly as a “coming soon” page, Andrew Brietbart has launched Big Government, where he released undercover videos at ACORN offices that led to ACORN being temporarily defunded by Congress and investigated in some states.

Brietbart has announced he is launching other “Big” style blogs, including Big Journalism and Big Environmentalism.

While Brietbart may have made a better blog launch than Carlson, Bombs and Dollars has to give credit to Tucker for the launch of his “coming soon” page completely annihilating the launch of Brietbart’s “coming soon” page.

Here is Carlson’s: Continue reading
